Our UK client approached us to develop a web application that would group multiple brands and allow them to sell their products in one platform called Marketplace. The goal was to break away from the traditional model of selling products only on individual websites.
Challenge
CG’s challenge for us was to create a backend system similar to Shopify, where each user could log in and create products, orders, customers, discounts, and other functionality. We had to handle each section with user-specific roles and set rules for who could access which sections. Additionally, the ability to publish products, add stock, and update prices in bulk was a key requirement.
Solution
Our fully-fledged developers and UI/UX designers examined the pressure points and utilised their full capabilities to create a one-stop shop for sellers to explore all the available functionality. Market research and communication with the client helped us understand the industry's culture and principles and create an application that would be user-friendly and satisfying for the target audience. Our team also conducted customer profiling techniques to gain insight into how our target customers interact with web applications. Furthermore, by analyzing user requirements, we were able to provide a solution that allowed any fashion vendor to easily subscribe and upload their products, making sales through the platform.
Impact
The Marketplace application has allowed the client to build and retain valuable customer relationships, resulting in increased revenue. Our work on design and development has helped the fashion industry in the UK region reach a new milestone.
